Do spam words still matter?
Less than they used to — modern filters weigh sender reputation, authentication (SPF, DKIM, DMARC), and engagement far more than any single word. But trigger words still add up, especially from a domain without established reputation, and they hurt twice: the same phrases that trip filters also make human readers trust you less. “Act now — 100% free!” fails with both audiences.
The fix is rarely a synonym; it's specificity. Replace “huge savings” with the actual number, “limited time” with the real date, and “guaranteed results” with one named customer's result.
